Ovation Insurance is looking for a licensed commercial sales producer.  Ovation Insurance is a small but quickly growing insurance agency in Fort Wayne, IN.  The candidate will play a key part in the success and growth of the agency by selling and servicing various commercial insurance policy types such as property, general liability, cyber liability, commercial auto, motor cargo, etc.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must have or acquire active Ohio and Indiana P&C insurance licenses
  • Very comfortable with prospecting conversations
  • Strong willingness to meet and exceed sales goals
  • A good personality – doesn’t take life too seriously, works well with others, believes in having fun, doesn’t allow ‘bright and shiny’ to distract them
  • Willing and able to get in front of the camera on a regular basis
  • Natural desire to help customers and prospects
  • Willing to follow processes and instructions
  • Must be coach-able and trainable
  • Comfortable with using multiple forms of social media and willing to post regularly
  • Basic property and casualty product knowledge
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented

Job Duties:

  • Helps the long-term success of the agency by following the agency’s guidelines and operational processes
  • Prospects for potential clients by utilizing agency marketing campaigns such as mailings, emails, telemarketing, referrals, making presentations to groups, social media, and all other campaigns
  • Determines clients’ needs and wants by quoting and explaining coverage options that meet their immediate and long-term goals
  • Obtains underwriting approval by completing application for coverage
  • Completes coverage by delivering policy; planning future follow-up visits and evaluations of needs
  • Provides continuing service to customers by thoroughly completing service request, customer policy reviews, and courtesy follow-up calls
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Enhances insurance agency reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Key Performance Areas

  • Generate and use prospect lists to consistently reach out to new potential clients
  • Meet and exceed daily prospecting goals by reaching out and following up with new prospective clients
  • Form strong referral partnerships with other professionals in your area of focus to generate more sales opportunities
  • Follow up with prospects daily via phone, email, walk-in, video, text message, mail, social media, conference call, etc in an organized and consistent manner
  • Enter all data points into agency programs and software to ensure accurate data, including contact information, policy and quoting information, and all correspondence
  • Create quality content designed specifically for clients and prospects in your area of expertise including emails, blogs, vlogs, conference calls, and social media in a consistent manner
  • Accurately prepare quotes for the client/prospect by manually entering either online or in the agency management system
  • Present completed quotes and proposals in an accurate and timely manner with consistent follow ups until a decision is made
  • Handle endorsements, underwriting requirements, and billing issues with the client
  • Order, organize and prepare applications and other documents for policy quoting and issuance and ensure all are submitted to the carrier in a timely manner
  • Manage policy renewals for your active clients
